Program Manager

Abdul Wajid is the Program Manager for Budget and Financial Management (BFM) at the FRLD Secretariat, where he leads the Fund’s financial architecture and strengthens transparency, accountability, and operational effectiveness. He oversees budgeting, cost planning, fund allocation, and preparation of financial reports and analyses for the Board and other stakeholders.

 

Abdul provides strategic fiduciary and policy guidance, ensuring adherence to World Bank standards in financial planning, risk mitigation, and reporting. He is the Secretariat’s primary liaison with internal and external partners—including the Trustee, relevant World Bank units, and the Budget Committee.

 

With more than 15 years of experience spanning the private sector and international organizations, Abdul brings deep technical and operational expertise to FRLD. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Fellow (FCCA) of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK).
